Driven to advance leadership approaches that champion growth and empathy, Stina is set on transforming traditional frameworks that focus on managerial performance, shifting them toward practices that centre around employee development and self-awareness.
Stina highlights one of today’s biggest challenges for leaders: ‘taking those rigid frameworks and moving them into engaging, supportive and actionable projects.’ She believes high-performing workplaces often miss the potential of coaching as a powerful growth pathway , overlooking how setbacks can become critical stepping stones. To Stina, Humani is an essential tool to make coachingan integral part of organisational culture, much like athletes rely on coaching to reach their peak.
Drawing from her own journey as a marathon runner, Stina notes that “not everyone moves at the same pace or has the same destination in mind.” Recognising each individual’s unique pace and goals, she believes, enables leaders to foster a more inclusive and empathetic environment, where employees succeed on their own terms. This approach not only strengthens workplaces but also builds a foundation of trust and support, nurturing both personal and professional growth.
A central focus for Stina is balancing technology with human connection. “The use of tech should stop when it takes over meaningful human interactions,” she asserts. While technology can streamline operations, she emphasizes that genuine connection and strategic thinking should remain at the heart of leadership. Citing Rory Sutherland, she reflects, “Writing an essay is not about the essay; it’s about the theory of how you construct your thoughts.” In her view, just as clear thinking is critical to writing, empathy and insight are indispensable in leadership, with technology serving as a support rather than a replacement.
The Humani team is excited by the impact that Stina will be able to have on helping shape the future of human collaboration. Anders, CEO and Co-Founder states, ‘The level of expertise that Stina brings through her working leading teams at Pleo, Labster and more, combined with her global teaching experience at General Assembly is a truly unique combination of experience, that is going to be hugely beneficial as we build the Humani product and community over the next number of years.’
